Accountants
Give your accountant the numbers and the trail
Give your accountant free read-only access to one company's books, resolve their questions in place, and hand off a single archive with the schedules they already ask for.
- Free, read-only
- Accountant access does not cost extra and cannot change the books. They can read everything and raise questions; they cannot post.
- Scoped to one company
- Access is granted per company with hard entity isolation. An accountant for one set of books never sees another.
- Separate from billing
- Inviting an accountant does not give them billing authority over the workspace, and it does not affect your plan.
The handoff
One archive, the schedules inside it
The export is built from the same ledger the app reads. Nothing is re-derived or re-keyed for the accountant.

For filing review
Tax schedules you can trace back to the books
Setttle summarizes posted GST/HST/PST amounts, adjustments, and remittances for review. You or your accountant confirm the jurisdiction, taxable bases, and return lines before filing.
- Derived from the ledger
- Tax totals come from the posted entries on invoices, bills, and imported journals, so the summary and the books agree by construction.
- No direct CRA filing
- Setttle does not transmit returns to the CRA. Filing stays with you or your accountant; the export gives you the numbers.
- T2125 not yet included
- T2125-specific exports are deliberately deferred until the ledger-derived tax controls and the handoff are accepted by working Canadian accountants.
- Every figure is traceable
- Each schedule carries its source references and effective dates, and corrections keep their history, so a number can always be traced back to the entry and document behind it.
Questions worth asking
Does inviting my accountant cost extra?
No. Accountant access is free, read-only, and scoped to the company you invite them to. It does not give them workspace billing authority.
What does the handoff include?
The export includes a trial balance, general ledger, open receivables and payables, sales-tax summary, bank reconciliation status, unresolved items, and source document references. The separate complete data export includes original files.
Can my accountant file from Setttle?
Setttle provides tax review schedules and supporting records. It does not submit returns to the CRA or replace your accountant's tax software.
